The Nutritional Analysis

 
        THE LOG


The basis of the nutritional analysis is the collection of data from the 3-day log created during the first interim period in the basic program. 


Longer periods of time can be reported to give more accuracy to the nutritional picture.


A sample of a few of the reports with brief descriptions are shown below:

 

THE REPORTS


  1. 1. Nutrient Analysis of Calories Consumed.  Shows elements such as proteins, carbohydrates, fats, cholesterol, trans fatty acids and so forth.


  1. 2.Graphic analysis of the percentage (%) achieved of DRI (Daily Required Intake).  Shows elements consumed such as protein, carbohydrates, dietary fiber, calcium and so forth.


  1. 3.Analysis of the distributio
    n of calories from elements such as proteins, fat and carbohydrates; and a graphic analysis of the breakdown of fats into saturated, polyunsaturated and so forth.


  1. 4.  Graphic analysis of the use of calories by daily activities reported by clients to show which activities use the most and least calories consumed.


  1. 5.  Analysis of the food list and ingredients consumed in a period of time to show the source of caloric intake, and a distribution of those foods by element such as protein, fats, carbohydrates and so forth.


  1. 6.  Analysis of the nutrient trend over a period of time to determine a clients progress toward achieving nutritional goals.
